Installing an In-Dash TV Receiver in Your Vehicle
One of the unusual things that you will find inside a lot of vehicles today is a TV set. This adds aesthetic appeal to the vehicle and serves as entertainment for the passengers. So, if you want to make your car look cool, the following are instructions on how to install a TV receiver.
First, you will need a screwdriver, some cables, wrench, TV car mount, and the installation kit. You will then have to open the hood of your vehicle and use a wrench to remove the cables that are attached to the battery. Second, take out the dashboard panel so you can have access to your stereo. Refer to your vehicle's manual if you do not know how to remove the panel. Next, take out the stereo from the dashboard by loosening the mounting screws and pulling the connectors and antennae cable from the back of the device. Fit the TV receiver into the installation kit you have. Make sure you bought a compatible kit for your vehicle. Mount the antennae on the trunk, so there is no need to drill any hole for the cable. Route the cable to your receiver and use appropriate cabling ties to keep it secured and away from other parts of your vehicle. Connect the receiver to your audio/video selector box using the connectors. Be sure to use wiring harness to do this. Then, insert the installed receiver back into the dash. Tighten it using the specified screws and replace the dashboard panels you have removed. Lastly, attach the battery cables back and tighten them. Turn your engine on and try your brand new TV receiver.
