When designing or organising a home theatre room, one of your important considerations is the placement of the electronic equipment. Proper positioning of the components will maximise your viewing experience. Plus, you will feel more comfortable staying in this area if the things are arranged well.

The arrangement of your television depends on many factors like the viewing distance, screen size, seating layout, and room lighting condition. To optimise the space, your best option is to mount the TV monitor on the wall. This is possible through brackets, wherein you have several selections. Some of these are ceiling, swivel and tilt, cantilever, and tilting.

For your projector, you can place it on a stand in the middle of the front row seats. It may be placed in a cabinet at the back of the room. If you have a universal remote control, you can suspend this equipment on the ceiling. There should be enough space for your projector's dedicated booth. This is used to hide the noise coming from the cooling fan.

To get seamless surround sound from your theatre audio system, there are many aspects you need to consider. Front right and left speakers have to be positioned on each side of the TV screen, while the centre audio has to be at the rear of the projector. On the other hand, your surround sound speaker units should be on the room's side walls, behind the seats. The best location for the subwoofer is at the corner to improve bass response.
